The inspiration for the Foundation deepened in the wake of Hurricane Melissa, when communities across Jamaica, including Lambs River the hometown of the Porter family faced overwhelming devastation. Families lost their homes, livelihoods, and sense of stability. Out of that pain emerged purpose: a determination to be a consistent source of hope and help for those suffering from natural disasters, poverty, displacement, and other hardships.
Today, the Porter Relief Foundation stands as a bridge between the Jamaican diaspora and communities in need, uniting people through empathy, generosity, and faith.
